Rosanna Davison is very open about her family life, giving her loyal followers an insight into the hectic life of parenting three children under three.
However, they were surprised to learn that Rosanna has a pet parrot.
She was showcasing family time in the back garden as her twin boys Hugo and Oscar enjoyed the sunshine when fans noticed a feathery friend.
“Do ye have a pet parrot?” one curious follower asked.
Rosanna was quick to explain that the parrot is called Sparky and her husband Wes Quirke owns him.
In fact, he has been in Wes’ life for a very long time as he first received the bird back in 1990, making Sparky 32 years old.
The oldest parrot in captivity living to the age of 92, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
Apparently, parrots can live anywhere from 40 to 60 years. That means that Sparky will be in their family’s life for quite some time!
Parrots are considered exotic pets because of their behaviour which is the same as parrots in the wild.
Rosanna explained: “Sparky is 32! My husband got her in 1990…I miss the 90s. Simpler times!”
Of course, we are more used to seeing the family’s other pet, her adorable Pomeranian Ted. Sadly, his companion Leo passed away in November of 2021.
